Criteria for Buckner's All Stars
The Buckner’s All-Stars is a program designed to reward High School and Middle School students from the Dallas Metro Area who have excelled in the areas of academics, extra-curricular activities, and community service. Students participate in educational seminars, community service projects and Buckner’s All-Stars mentoring events and field trips. Each applicant must meet the Foundation’s selection criteria.
Each applicant must:
1.)Have a GPA of 3.3 or better and be in good academic standing.
2.)Provide a copy of their transcript or report card to support the cumulative GPA.
3.)Show evidence of volunteer work and community service.
4.)Must be a citizen of the USA.
5.)Be willing to participate in an interview with the Buckner’s All-Stars Committee.
6.)Submit two (2) letters of recommendation, which must be from the following:
a.) A non-related faculty member from the school currently attending
b.) A volunteer community service supervisor or coordinator.
**The Buckner’s All-Stars program is offered to middle and high school students regardless of color, race, creed, sexual orientation, disability, or religious orientation.
