Buckner Wine Tasting Event (View Gallery)
On Saturday, April 14th, Greg Buckner and his foundation hosted a wine tasting event at Premier Wines in Plano, TX. Guests had the opportunity to network with other professionals in a sophisticated environment where they were treated to samples of some of the finest wines from around the world. There were also classes available to learn even more about the wines that were available. Five percent of the proceeds collected from this event went to The Greg Buckner Foundation to help continue the work of its various programs.

Celebrity Bowling Event- The Greg Buckner Foundation hosted its first ever Celebrity Bowling Tournament which brought out celebrities, sports pros, and people looking to have a good time. Patrons enjoyed a catered meal, bowling with celebrities, and a silent auction with the chance to own some of the most coveted pro sports gear. What a success, good job guys!

Shoes for Orphan Soles (View Gallery)
Shoes for Orphan Soles- The Buckner All Stars participated in the International Shoes for Orphan Soles project which provides shoes to children in countries around the world. The All Stars laced and sorted shoes for the initiative and learned a very valuable lesson about giving back to the world we all live in.

Students at one Carrollton elementary school were the special attendees of a Buckner style story time. The students were read a story and received books and autographed shirts, thanks to the "Buck"ets of Books program, which encourages literacy in the DFW area.

Cuts For Kids (View Gallery)
Greg and the staff get all "MAV"ed up to treat boys and girls of the greater Dallas area to haircuts and manicures. The children got to enjoy pizza and games while being treated courtesy of the Greg Buckner Foundation.

Greg Buckner Foundation staff gets the ball rolling with a basketball clinic at the Boys & Girls Club in Dallas. Students participated in drills and instruction on becoming top notch players.

2006 Black Tie Gala (View Gallery)
A recent black-tie gala sponsored by Ferrari of Denver in the Korbel Ballroom at the Colorado Convention Center marked the foundation's offical introduction to Denver. The launch party also announced the foundation's partnership with the Denver Children's Home, which treats traumatized, abused and neglected children ages 6 to 18. The foundation plans to assist the children's home with a renovation project later this year. As mistress of ceremonies, Emmy Award-winning CBS 4 News anchorwoman Molly Hughes welcomed guests, including Buckner's Nuggets teammates Carmelo Anthony, accompanied by his fiancee, MTV personality La La Vazquez, Kenyon Martin, Andre Miller and DerMarr Johnson. Also showing their support were Denver Broncos wide receiver Ashley Lelie and tackle George Foster, who was spotted on the dance floor with foundation director Chanita Campbell. Foster, Campbell and more than 275 other guests danced to the smooth sounds of Bad Boy/Arista R&B recording artist Carl Thomas, who provided the evening's musical grooves after comedian Michael Blackson provided some chuckles.

Experience the journey of 3 UNC Journalism students as they traveled with GBF during the 2006 Defender Camp Tour. The interns wrote stories about all angles of the camp tour and were able to meet and network with various professionals in the media field. Could you be next???

Eduardo Najera Charity Basketball Game (View Gallery)
Greg Buckner participated in Eduardo Najera's Charity Basketball game in his hometown of Chihuahua, Mexico for the second consecutive year. Najera�s game featured NBA players such as Josh Smith of the Atlanta Hawks, Kenyon Martin, Marcus Camby, and Dermarr Johnson of the Denver Nuggets, Earl Watson of the Sonics, and former Nuggets Nikoloz Tskitishvili and Rodney White. The game was a huge success as over $100,000 was raised for the Eduardo Najera Foundation.

The Greg Buckner Foundation joined forces with Homes of Hope Saturday July 1 to host the Greg Buckner Celebrity Golf Tournament/ Silent Auction at Furman University Golf Course in Greenville, S.C. The event raised $8500 to be split between both organizations

Denver All-Stars Dinner with Greg (View Gallery)
The Buckner's All-Stars enjoyed an evening out with Greg and staff at Rock Bottom Cafe downtown. The All-Stars spent the evening getting to know each other as they took part in an activity to construct an action figure of Greg out of duck tape, balloons, wooden sticks, and anything else they could get their hands on. Winners received an autographed basketball from Greg.

Hurricane Katrina Relief Event. (View Gallery)
The Greg Buckner Foundation hosted a supplies drive and fundraiser to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina. The all day event took place in downtown Denver at Club Rise on Thursday, Sept. 8, 2005. The foundation raised $21,000, which was matched by Kenyon Martin for a total of $42,000. They also filled up two Uhaul trucks full of food, clothes and supplies. The money was donated to Rocky Mountain Relief, which is a non profit organization founded to help victims of Hurricane Katrina that relocate to Denver.
