Testimonials
"The hardest thing about building any company, organization or foundation, is finding the right people to run it. The associates and staff of the Greg Buckner Foundation bring the same intensity and dedication to their organization that Greg and his teammates take to the courts night in and night out. It has been a unique pleasure to assist the Greg Buckner Foundation with their goal of educating and empowering tomorrow's leaders. Their staff continues to inspire ours daily."

"The Greg Buckner Foundation has been incredible to work with this season. Greg Buckner and his staff are truly committed to making a difference in the lives of children in and around Dallas/Fort Worth. It's inspirational to see a professional athlete of his stature not only provide financial support, but more importantly emotional support to local organizations and their causes. "

"We recently became acquainted with The Greg Buckner Foundation when Greg was presented with the Community Assist Award by the NBA. At a time when so many professional athletes are receiving negative publicity, it is refreshing to see Greg and his Foundation step up and shine a positive light on the athletic profession. His commitment to building children’s lives goes far beyond just their athletic interests; he is concerned with building their character and teaching them how to become productive young citizens and leaders for the future. This is an organization that we will continue to support."

"My kids got so much out of Greg Buckner’s Basketball Camp! They had fun, improved their skills and gained confidence, not only in basketball, but in Life! That’s because Greg asks the kids to not only play hard & smart, but to live Life responsibly and to EXCELL in ALL aspects of Life! I also was very impressed with the quantity and quality of the staff that helped Greg run the camp. When talking one on one with the coaches, it’s obvious that Greg is handpicking coaches & staff using extremely high standards, and he’s hiring a lot of staff to insure maximum camper interaction."

"Denver Children’s Home (DCH), the oldest non-profit organization in Colorado, was honored to partner with the Greg Buckner Foundation (GBF). DCH specializes in the treatment of abused and neglected children with mental health issues and their families. The Buckner Foundation organized many events for DCH including: serving Thanksgiving dinner with the Denver Nuggets, hosting a holiday party and donating sheet/comforter sets and holiday gifts for all DCH residents, and providing scholarships for our children at the Greg Buckner Basketball summer camps. Every member of the GBF staff consistently supported and celebrated the children. It was a privilege to work with this fine organization. The Foundation is dedicated to promoting honesty, professionalism, class and self responsibility. They are truly committed to strengthening communities through their work with children and their generosity touched the lives of the staff and children at Denver Children’s Home."

"Recently we hosted the Greg Buckner Foundation Bowling Event here at 300 DALLAS and it was a smashing success! I was extremely impressed with Wayne Watts, Director of Business Development of the Greg Buckner Foundation and his staff in executing such a success and meaningful event! No question, the Greg Buckner Foundation is a breath of fresh air in providing such a positive and meaningful message for the youth of today! We look forward to hosting another event with Greg Buckner and the Greg Buckner Foundation for many years to come! "

"I became familiar with the Greg Buckner Foundation after I was contacted by Wayne Watts on possible internship opportunities. However, I go to school in another city so I was not able to pursue the opportunities. I have stayed in contact with Mr. Watts and he has been exceptionally helpful in my process of obtaining an internship. Thanks to him being confident, supportive, and encouraging in my ability I have accepted an opportunity this summer to intern with the Chicago Sky. He has been an amazing mentor. Mr. Watts has instilled in me full confidence that the Greg Buckner Foundation has an amazing staff and does amazing things for the community. If the opportunity to work or intern for Mr. Watts or the Greg Buckner Foundation presented itself I can confidently say I would not think twice about accepting."

"Working as a journalism intern with the Greg Buckner Foundation was, in a word, exceptional. The staff is very cooperative and open to new ideas, and you are given the reigns to your own projects and collaborative stories, where you are free to do with them what you like. The access to Greg and other NBA players is unparalleled, and the friendly atmosphere of the camp makes interacting with them easy. It’s unlike any traditional journalism internship, and above all else, it’s fun. I now work for the Hawks, and I owe it all to the connections I made and the experience I gained as an intern with the Greg Buckner Foundation."
